Silex Consulting Limited is a UK-registered, privately limited company that specializes in software development. Silex Consulting based in Somerset, UK and employs a small number of highly technical skilled staff. Given the nature of our business, our employees tend to be UK citizens or residents who have an established right to work in the UK.

Our supply chains

The majority of Silex Consulting’s supply chains involve sourcing equipment and services from within the UK, although we occasionally place orders in other countries. Before entering into agreements with suppliers, we assess potential risks within the supply chain and aim to ensure that suppliers have their own clearly defined ethical working practices, including suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking processes, in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Due Diligence Processes for Modern Slavery

As part of our initiatives to identify and mitigate risk:

  • Silex Consulting Limited has clearly defined internal and external policies that incorporate relevant topics related to modern slavery.
  • New key suppliers are subject to due diligence before contract award.
  • All employees are made aware of their responsibilities regarding modern slavery through induction and training.
  • We adhere to Crown Commercial Service standards, and all other relevant sector procedure guidelines including those organisations who we work with, to prevent slavery and human trafficking.

Policies and procedures 

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Protect whistleblowers.
  • Ensure all those in our supply chain comply with our values by contractually requiring them to be compliant with all human trafficking legislation.
  • Confirm the identities of all new candidates and staff, their right to work in the United Kingdom, and pay all our employees above the National Living Wage.
  • Review our procedures on a regular basis.
  • We have various platforms available to our staff to be able to raise any concerns they may have relating to modern slavery and human trafficking; 

Training and Awareness

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff.
